Doron Karavani Hits Back With His Latest Album, "Time To Rise"

"Time to Rise" by Doron Karavani is a vibrant and dynamic album that showcases the artist's prowess in blending infectious beats with introspective lyrics, creating a compelling musical journey. Hailing from Yemen, Doron brings a refreshing energy to the indie pop and pop genre, focusing on positivity and a carefree vibe throughout this nine-track release. Born to loving and caring parents of Yemeni ancestry, Doron was raised during childhood years in Israel. As a Pacifist, he made a decision not to join the IDF, left for India at the early age of 17, and, as a free bird, fell in love with traveling, exploring, associating, and making friends with people of all nations. Doron is now living happily and snuggly with his family in Finland on a beautiful island, where Home is planted in the middle of the forest among high trees filled with birds ever chirping during the four seasons.

The album opens with "I'll be there," a track that immediately sets the tone with its grooveable beat. The song's melody draws you in, while the vocals seamlessly integrate with the pulsating background beats, creating an immersive experience that sets the stage for what's to come. "No Fear/Demo" follows suit with a driving rhythm and confident delivery, exuding a youthful energy that keeps the momentum going. "Let Them Do/Demo" continues the upbeat vibe of the album, maintaining high energy with a catchy chorus that hooks the listener in. Each track on "Time to Rise" seems designed to uplift and trigger, blending infectious rhythms with meaningful lyrics that resonate on a personal level.

The track "Let Them Do" stands out with its warm and inviting vibe, featuring punchy vibes and a rhythmic section that invites listeners to groove along. Closing the album is "Only Love," a track composed with finesse, combining ethereal vocals with a fluidly textured flow. Karavani collaborated with his longtime friend and producer Kalevi Lohivuori and recorded the track in a comfortable studio north of Helsinki. The result highlights more of Karavani’s different but simple, rich in emotion, and most real art.

“Only Love” has a more minimalist production to highlight fully the vocal performance of Karavani. Acoustic guitar, subdued trumpets, and keyboards come together to provide warmth and safety. Karavani’s singing is rough and unvarnished, calling upon the audience to an alternate reality where love is not merely confined to the coupling of people but a force that binds every living thing.
