Rock the South is an annual country music festival held in Cullman, Alabama—branded as “the biggest party in the South.” Launched in 2012 in response to the devastating tornado outbreak of April 27, 2011, the festival originally served as a celebration of community recovery. Since then, it’s evolved into a fan-favorite multi-day summer destination, with major draws including headliners like Eric Church, Jelly Roll, HARDY, Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, and Alan Jackson (quadcitiesdaily.com). Despite its ongoing popularity, attendance fluctuated in 2024. Official reports indicated daily numbers of approximately 17,000–20,000, roughly half of the 2023 daily crowd of over 35,000. Together, the weekend attendance dropped significantly, drawing around 20,000 fans per day (cullmantimes.com). Organisers emphasised that tighter first-responder coordination resulted in fewer incidents, with only 14 arrests over the weekend and minor medical issues handled on-site (cullmantimes.com).
