Post is a truly long-lived reality in Italian music, active since 2001. A name that has reached beyond the borders, thanks to several discographic works that have become cult, especially in the Turin underground. After saying goodbye to the original bassist of the group, who left the project in 2014, Post is back with the rebirth album ''Ten Little Indies.''
"Ten Little Indies" undoubtedly represents the album of rebirth for Post. In 2014, while the band was busy composing new songs, they unfortunately had to say goodbye to Gigi Laurino, the original bassist, who moved elsewhere to dedicate himself to a work project.
Initially, the band experimented with a trio setup, with Gio playing bass, but everything changed with the chance meeting of Daniele Maresca, an eclectic musician who was free from other commitments at the time. His entry marked a radical turning point. The piano and synthesisers became central, opening up to new atmospheres and unprecedented sounds. The guitars, now cleaner and more defined, blend with harmonies in almost all the tracks.
Ten songs were made with a new lineup that led the group to include the sounds of piano and synthesisers in their music. Once again, love provides fertile ground for the birth of stories focused on the fear of loneliness and the arguments that can arise within the couple.
Post is no stranger to such evolution, and in this new journey, they see the opportunity to avoid repetition, managing to create an album distinct from its predecessors, thus following in the footsteps of beloved artists.
There is no shortage of references to criticism of today's society, where reality is too often seen from a screen, such as social networks or television. Tools that make us lose ourselves in the suffering of others, forgetting our own lives and needs. The album, entirely produced by the band, was recorded at Real Sound studio in Milan, with Ettore “Ette” Gilardoni at the console and mixed in London by Pietro Cavassa. ''Ten Little Indies'' was released in November 2024 by the Turin label Reverse Rivers Music.
