2026 GRAMMYs

Music’s Biggest Night is officially set to return, with the Recording Academy announcing that the 2026 GRAMMY Awards will take place on Sunday, February 1, live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The nominations for the upcoming 68th Annual GRAMMYs will be revealed on Friday, November 7, 2025, setting the stage for another star-studded celebration of the year’s most impactful music.

This year, the GRAMMY Awards process features several updates aimed at keeping pace with the evolving music industry. Among the changes are two new categories: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. These additions reflect proposals submitted by Academy members and demonstrate the Recording Academy’s commitment to recognising a broader range of artistic contributions and genres within the music community.

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. emphasised the organisation’s ongoing mission to adapt and represent today’s musical landscape. “Our top priority is to represent the music people that we serve each year,” he said, noting the importance of listening to members to ensure the awards remain inclusive and relevant. In an interview with GRAMMY.com, Mason added that the changes introduced this year are not only positive but necessary, ensuring that all creators, including those whose work often goes unrecognised, have the opportunity to be celebrated on Music’s Biggest Night.
